| 1 | The noun in pausa is no doubt singular, and so LXX. Vulg. have it in Ps. vi. 4; xxxi. 16. Our Translators may have meant “mercies” to be singular, as they so spell “mercy” about four times out of ten. In that case 1769 would be the first to go wrong. See p. lxix., note 4. |
