This is athe third time I am coming to you. bIn the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. 2cI told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present athe second time; and being absent now I write to them dwhich heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, eI will not fspare: 3since ye seek ga proof of Christ hspeaking in me, iwhich to you-ward is not weak, but jis mighty kin you. 4For lthough he was crucified through weakness, yet mhe liveth jby the power of God. For nwe also are weak in him, but we shall live with him jby the power of God toward you. 5Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; oprove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that pJesus Christ is in you, except ye be qreprobates? 6But I trust that ye shall know that we are not qreprobates. 7Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that rwe should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as qreprobates. 8For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. 9For we are glad, when swe are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your tperfection. 10Therefore I write these things being absent, ulest being present I should use wsharpness, according to xthe power which the Lord hath given me to xyedification, and not to xzdestruction.
