Genesis 21:5–8

5 Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.

6 Sarah said, “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.” 7 And she added, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.”

8 The child grew and was weaned, and on the day Isaac was weaned Abraham held a great feast.

5 Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. 6 And Sarah said, “God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh over me.” 7 And she said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.”

8 And the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.

5 And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him. 6 And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me. 7 And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age. 8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.

5 Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born.

6 And Sarah declared, “God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me. 7 Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse a baby? Yet I have given Abraham a son in his old age!”

8 When Isaac grew up and was about to be weaned, Abraham prepared a huge feast to celebrate the occasion.

5 Now Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. 6 And Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.” 7 She also said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.”

8 So the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the same day that Isaac was weaned.

5 Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Isaac was born. 6 And Sarah said, “God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears about this will laugh with me. 7 No one thought that I would be able to have Abraham’s child, but even though Abraham is old I have given him a son.”

8 Isaac grew, and when he became old enough to eat food, Abraham gave a great feast.

5 And Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. 6 And Sarah said, God has made me laugh: all that hear will laugh with me. 7 And she said, Who would have said to Abraham, Sarah will suckle children? For I have borne him a son in his old age. 8 And the child grew, and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.

6 Sarah said, “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me. 7 Who would have predicted to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet, I have given him a son in his old age.” 

8 The child grew and was weaned. On the day Isaac was weaned, Abraham held a big feast.

6 Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears will laugh with me.” 7 She also said, “Who would have told Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne a son for him in his old age.”

8 The child grew and was weaned, and Abraham held a great feast on the day Isaac was weaned.

5 And Abraham was one hundred years old when Isaac his son was born to him. 6 And Sarah said, “God has made laughter for me; all who hear will laugh for me.” 7 And she said, “Who would announce to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne a son to Abraham in his old age.”

8 And the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the day Isaac was weaned.

5 Abraham was 100 years old when his son Isaac was born to him.

6 Sarah said, “God has given laughter to me. Everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”

7 She continued, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? But I’ve had a son by him when he is old.”

8 Isaac grew. The time came for his mother to stop nursing him. On that day Abraham had a big dinner prepared.

5 Now Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.

6 Sarah said, “God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

7 And she said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.”

8 The child grew and was weaned, and Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.
