Isaiah 17:6 — The New International Version (NIV)

Yet some gleanings will remain,

four or five on the fruitful boughs,”

declares the Lord, the God of Israel.

Isaiah 17:6 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

Four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof,

Saith the Lord God of Israel.

Isaiah 17:6 — New Living Translation (NLT)

Only a few of its people will be left,

like stray olives left on a tree after the harvest.

Only two or three remain in the highest branches,

four or five scattered here and there on the limbs,”

declares the Lord, the God of Israel.

Isaiah 17:6 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

Four or five in its most fruitful branches,”

Says the Lord God of Israel.

Isaiah 17:6 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

Only a few people will survive.

They will be like an olive tree that has been beaten.

four or five olives on the rest of the branches,”

declares the Lord God of Israel.

Isaiah 17:6 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

Only gleanings will be left in Israel,

as if an olive tree had been beaten—

two or three berries at the very top of the tree,

four or five on its fruitful branches.

This is the declaration of the Lord,

the God of Israel.

Isaiah 17:6 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

Gleanings will be left in it,

as when an olive tree is beaten—

Isaiah 17:6 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

In the same way, only a few people will be left alive.

Four or five at most are left on the limbs that produce fruit,”

announces the Lord, the God of Israel.
