SISMAI (PERSON) [Heb sismay (סִסְמַי)]. A leader in the tribe of Judah and a descendant of Jerahmeel through his wife Atarah (mentioned twice in 1 Chr 2:40). He is the son of Eleasah and father of Shallum in the line of descent from the marriage of Sheshan’s daughter (?) Ahlai to his Egyptian slave Jarha.
