Excerpt from the Lexham Bible Dictionary, the most advanced Bible dictionary.
A phrase in the title of Psalm 60 which, in modern versions, is either transliterated (e.g., ESV) or translated “Lily of the Covenant” (e.g., NRSV) or “Lily of the Testimony” (e.g., NKJV). It may refer to the tune to which the psalm was to be sung. The title of Psalm 80 uses the plural form, “Shoshannim Eduth.” “Eduth” is used elsewhere in the Old Testament to refer to covenant and testimony, including the Ten Commandments and the records of the tabernacle.
