Sherebiah
Sherebiah (שֵׁרֵבְיָה‎, shereveyah). A name that occurs eight times in the Hebrew Bible (Ezra 8:18, 24; Neh 8:7; 9:4, 5; 10:12; 12:8, 24) and three times in the deuterocanonical book of 1 Esdras.

SHEREBIAH (PERSON) [Heb šērēbyâ (שֵׁרֵבְיָה)]. The name of several individuals, in which the theophoric element yāh is added to a form of šrb. Several explanations or derivations of the name have been proposed. Noth (IPN, 259) believes it to be a Piʿel perfect of a verb šrb whose meaning is unknown.
