Shaalbim
Excerpt from the Lexham Bible Dictionary, the most advanced Bible dictionary.
A village assigned to the tribe of Dan. Probably the same place as Shaalabbin, mentioned in Josh 19:42. The Amorites lived in Mount Heres, Aijalon, and Shaalbim. The Danites were unable to drive them out, and eventually the Ephraimites enslaved them (Judg 1:35). Shaalbim was the home of Eliahba, one of David’s Champions (2 Sam 23:32). In the time of Solomon, Shaalbim was included in the administrative district presided over by Ben-deker.The modern-day kibbutz Sha’alvim, three miles northwest of Aijalon, is named after biblical Shaalbim.

SHAALBON (PLACE) [Heb haššaʿalbōnı̂ (הַשַּׁעַלְבֹּנִי‎), lit. “the Shaalbonite”]. Apparently the hometown of Eliahba, one of David’s elite warriors (2 Sam 23:32 = 1 Chr 11:33). The town should probably be identified with SHAALBIM, a town which is spelled either šʿlbym or šʿlbyn in various Heb mss.
