SACHIA (PERSON) [Heb śākĕyâ (שָׂכְיָה)]. A Benjaminite, whose father was Shaharaim and mother was Hodesh (1 Chr 8:10). The only occurrence of this name is in a Chronicler’s list of Benjaminites. Many mss, supported by the LXX and Targums, read the more common šibĕyâ (“captivity” or “captive”).
