Raphaim (Person)
RAPHAIM (PERSON) [Gk Rhapain (Ῥαπαιν)]. A name given as part of the genealogy of Judith (Jdt 8:1). It should be noted that the Gk text reads Raphain. If this reading is correct, then the name occurs nowhere else in the biblical text. It is often emended, as in RSV, to Raphaim (this follows the Vulgate),
