Galeed
Galeed (גַּלְעֵד, gal'ed). The pillar or heap of stones made as a memorial between Jacob and Laban (Gen 31:44–50). Galeed means “heap of witness.”
Jegar-Sahadutha
Jegar-Sahadutha (יְגַר־שָׂהֲדוּתָא, yegar-sahadutha'). Laban’s Aramaic name for the “heap of witness,” the stones piled up as a memorial of the covenant between the households of Jacob and Laban (Gen 31:45–52). The name corresponds to Jacob’s Hebrew word for the marker: Galeed. Part of the name also
