Mahli, Son of Merari (מַחְלִי‎, machliy) A grandson of Levi and brother of Mushi (Exod 6:19; Num 3:20). The ancestor of the Mahlites. He should not be confused with Mahli, son of Mushi from 1 Chr 6:47, who was a nephew of the Mahli described here.
