Mahath, Son of Elkanah
Mahath, Father of Elkanah (מַחַת‎, machath). A son of Amasai who was an ancestor of Samuel and father to Elkanah (1 Chr 6:35). He is not the same as the Mahath, son of Amasai, mentioned in 2 Chr 29:12 and 31:13.
