Libnites
Excerpt from the Lexham Bible Dictionary, the most advanced Bible dictionary.
A Levitical and/or Gershonite clan from Judah (Num 3:21; 26:58). The Libnites of Levi most likely derived their name from the Judahite town, Libnah. The Libnites of Gershon are descended from Libni (Num 3:21). These two groups may or may not be the same. The Chronicler replaces Libni with Ladan (1 Chr 23:7, 8, 9; 26:21).
