Kohathites
Kohathites (קְהָת‎, qehath; קְהָתִי‎, qehathiy). Israelite clan descended from Kohath, a son of Levi (Num 3:27; 4:34; 1 Chr 9:32; 2 Chr 20:19). The Kohathites’ special charge was the ark of the covenant, the table, the candlestick, the altars, the vessels of the sanctuary, and the screen (Num 3:31).
