Kohath, Son of Levi (קְהָת‎, qehath). Son of Levi and ancestor of the Kohathites, the clan to which Moses belonged (e.g., Gen 46:11; Exod 6:16; Num 3:17; 26:57–58; 1 Chr 6:1; 23:12).
