Kassites
Kassites kasʹīts [Akk. kaššu, Nuzi dialect kuššu; Gk. Kossaioi]. A people who dominated Babylonia from the 16th to 12th cents b.c. Like so many other mountain peoples who invaded Mesopotamia, the Kassites left little trace of their presence. They were the most successful invaders, however, maintaining
