Jezelus

A name used for the father of Obadiah and Shecaniah in the deuterocanonical parallels of Ezra 8 (1 Esdras 8:32; 8:35). In Ezra 8:5, Jezelus is Jahaziel; in Ezra 8:9, Jehiel. These names appear in the lists of exiles returning from the Babylonian exile.

Jezelus
