Jarah jāʹrə [Heb. yaʿrâ—‘honeycomb’ (?); Gk. Iada (= Heb. yaʿdâ)]. A descendant of King Saul (1 Ch. 9:42). Some Hebrew MSS have yaʿdâ, and it should probably be accepted as the correct reading, for yaʿdâ is linguistically the same as yehôʿaddâ (Jehoaddah, 1 Ch. 8:36; Gk. Iada).
