Jehiel (assistant to Conaniah)

Also called Jehuel (יְחוּאֵל‎, yechu'el) and Jeiel. A Levitical assistant to the priest Conaniah during the reign of Hezekiah (2 Chr 29:14; 31:13). Jehiel and his brother Shimei were among those who assisted in cleansing the temple after its desecration by Ahaz (2 Chr 29:14–19). Jehiel was one of 10 overseers appointed by Hezekiah and Azariah to serve under Conaniah and Jehiel’s brother, Shimei (2 Chr 31:13).

Jehuel. Heman’s son, the brother of Shimei and one of the Levites selected to cleanse the sanctuary during Hezekiah’s reign (2 Chr 29:14). He is alternately called Jehiel in 2 Chronicles 31:13.
