Jabin
Excerpt from the Lexham Bible Dictionary, the most advanced Bible dictionary.
King of Hazor in northern Canaan at the time of the Israelite conquest. Jabin led an alliance against Joshua and was defeated at the waters of Merom (Josh 11:1–9). A second Jabin is mentioned as king of Canaan in Hazor during the time of the judges (Judg 4:1–24). The relationship between the two Jabins is unclear. One possibility is that the name was common among the rulers of Hazor.
