Ithnan [ĭthˊnăn] (Heb. yiṯnān). A city in the Negeb, on the southern border of the tribal territory of Judah (Josh. 15:23). Located near Kedesh and Ziph, the site, though not decisively identified, may be modern Khirbet el-Jebarîyeh on the Wâdī Umm Ethnān, 60 km. (37 mi.) southwest of Beer-sheba.
