ISHVAH (PERSON) [Heb yišwâ (יִשְׁוָה)]. Second son of Asher. In the genealogical list of Jacob’s family (Gen 46:8–27), his children are listed by families, according to their mothers. Ishvah is a grandson of Jacob and Leah by her maid Zilpah (Gen 46:17; 1 Chr 7:30). The name Ishvah does not appear

Ishvah ishʹvə [Heb. yišwâ]; AV ISHUAH, ISUAH. Second son of Asher (Gen. 46:17; 1 Ch. 7:30). As only the families of his brothers Ishvi, etc., are mentioned in Nu. 26:44, the supposition is that he left no descendants.
