Ishmerai
Ishmerai ishʹmə-rī [Heb. yišmeray, from šāmar—‘hedge about,’ i.e., ‘guard,’ and therefore ‘guard,’ ‘protector’] (1 Ch. 8:18). A descendant of Benjamin, son of Epaal, resident of Jerusalem, one of the “heads of fathers’ houses, according to their generations, chief men” (1 Ch. 8:28).
