Ishbah, Son of Mered (יִשְׁבָּח‎, yishbach). Father of Eshtemoa. A descendant of Judah and son to Bithiah, the daughter of Pharaoh (1 Chr 4:17).

ISHBAH (PERSON) [Heb yišbāḥ (יִשְׁבָּח)]. The father of Eshtemoa, mentioned in the genealogical list of the tribe of Judah (1 Chr 4:17). His siblings included Miriam and Shammai. Though there are problems with the Heb text, it appears that Ishbah is the son of Mered and Bithiah, the daughter of pharaoh.
