Infancy Gospel of Thomas

Not to be confused with the Gospel of Thomas. The noncanonical and pseudonymous Infancy Gospel of Thomas tells several miraculous stories and sayings of Jesus from his infancy and childhood. This work was never widely authoritative during the early church period and is essentially labeled as heretical by the early church father Irenaeus, who distinguishes it from “the true scriptures” Adversus Haereses 1.20.1).
