HUPHAM (PERSON) [Heb hûpām (הוּפָם)]. Var. HUPPIM. One of the descendants of Benjamin and ancestor of the Huphamites (Num 26:39). The descendants of Benjamin are listed in three geneaological tables: Gen 46:21; Num 26:38–40; and 1 Chr 7:6–12. Confusion from these lists concerning Hupham exists along
Hupham [hūˊfəm] (Heb. ḥûp̱ām). A son or descendant of Benjamin; eponymous ancestor of the Huphamites (Num. 26:39). He is probably the same as Huppim (Gen. 46:21), although at 1 Chr. 7:12, 15 the latter is said to be the son of Ir.
HU´PHAM (hūʹfam). Apparently one of the sons of Benjamin (Num. 26:39) and founder of the family of the Huphamites. He is supposed to be the same as Huppim. From 1 Chron. 7:12, 15, it would appear that Huppim was a grandson of Benjamin.
