HUNDREDS. While the term “hundred” appears in both the OT and the NT in the normal use, where the term “hundreds” appears it usually refers to the formal grouping of society (Ex 18:21, et al.), soldiers (Num 31:14, et al), a crowd for a specific purpose (Mk 6:40).
