Hori, Descendant of Simeon (חֹרִי‎, choriy). An Israelite from the tribe of Simeon whose son was sent to spy on Canaan (Num 13:5).

HORI (PERSON) [Heb ḥōrı̂ (חֹרִי‎); ḥôrı̂ (חֹורִי‎)]. 1. A son of LOTAN (Gen 36:22; 1 Chr 1:39) and grandson of “Seir, the Horite.” See also HORITES. In at least one other case, the genealogy of Gen 36:20–28 seems to have entered the same “individual” twice (see DISHAN) without recognizing the identity.
