Horam

The king of Gezer whom Joshua killed during the conquest of Canaan (Josh 10:33). Horam died when attempting to aid the city of Lachish in its battle against Joshua and his army. The “king of Gezer” referenced in Josh 12:12 appears to be a reference to Horam. Nonetheless, after the conquest, Canaanites retained possession of Gezer itself (see Josh 16:10; Judg 1:29).
