HASHUBAH (PERSON) [Heb ḥăšūbâ (חֲשֻׁבָה)]. The third son of ZERUBBABEL. Hashubah appears in 1 Chr 3:20 at the head of the second group of Zerubbabel’s children, who may have been born in Palestine (see Williamson Chronicles NCBC, 57). The name is based on the root ḥšb which means “to value,” “consider,”
