Happizzez
Excerpt from the Lexham Bible Dictionary, the most advanced Bible dictionary.
A leader of one of the 24 priestly families whose time of service was determined by lot in 1 Chr 24:1–19. The 18th lot fell to Happizzez (1 Chr 24:15). The form of the name “Happizzez” is unusual because it begins with the Hebrew definite article (ha-) attached to what appears to be a third masculine singular verb in the Piel stem (פִּצֵּץ‎, pitstsets; for more information, see Hebrew Language). The verb form means “He shattered.”
