Geshan, Son of Jahdai
Geshan, Son of Jahdai (גֵּישָׁן‎, geishan). A son of Jahdai, a descendant of Judah through Caleb (1 Chr 2:47). The relationship of Jahdai, and thus Geshan, to Caleb is uncertain.

GESHAN (PERSON) [Heb gêšān (גֵּישָׁן)]. Son of Jahdai, apparently of the family of Caleb (1 Chr 2:47). The name probably means “firm” or “strong.” In the LXX it appears as gērsōm. How Jahdai relates to Caleb is not clear. Perhaps he is a descendant of Caleb, perhaps even a concubine of Caleb. On
