Gabatha

One of the eunuchs who served as guardian for King Ahasuerus (Esth 2:21; 6:2). Gabatha is a Greek variation used in the Septuagint for the name Bigthan found in the Masoretic Text. Together with Teresh, Gabatha developed a plot against King Ahasuerus (Esth 2:21; 6:2) that Mordecai exposed (Esth 2:22–23).
