Ephron (East of the Jordan)

A town east of the Jordan and southeast of the Sea of Galilee (2 Macc 12:27).When Judas Maccabeus gathered the Israelites of Gilead to go to Judah, the people of Ephron refused to let them pass in peace. Judas destroyed the town and did not bury the bodies of the dead (1 Macc 5:46–51).
