ELON (PERSON) [Heb ʾēlôn (אֵלֹון); ʾêlōn (אֵילֹן); ʾêlôn (אֵילֹון)]. ELONITES. Three persons in the OT bear this name, which means “Oak” or “Terebinth.”1. One of three eponymous sons of Zebulun who went down to Egypt in time of famine (Gen 46:14) and whose descendants are named in a tribal roster
