CHIEF OF THE THREE. The official title of Adino the Ezrite, or Eznite (2 Sam 23:8). The ASV reads: “These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-basshe-beth a Tahchemonite, chief of the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite, against eight hundred slain at one time.” The obscure Heb.
