Caferdago
1. A town belonging to Ṣidqa of Ashkelon, conquered by Sennacherib in 701 (Taylor Prism ii.65), on the Madeba Map “(bēto)degana.” The name has been preserved in Beth Dejān, 6 mi (10 km) SE of Jaffa, identical with Caferdago (Eusebius Onom 50.16).
