Caddis (Γαδδίς, Gaddis, Καδδίς, Kaddis). Also known as Gaddis, Gaddi. A nickname of John, the oldest of the five Maccabeus brothers (1 Macc 2:2). Each of the brothers are listed with their nicknames in 1 Maccabees.
