Benjamin, Son of Jacob
Benjamin, Son of Jacob (בִּנְיָמִין‎, binyamin; Βενιαμίν, Beniamin; Βενιαμείν, Beniamein). The youngest son of Jacob and Rachel.
Eerdmans Dictionary of the Bible
Benjamin (Heb. binyāmɩ̂n)1. One of Jacob’s 12 sons; also the territory and tribe which bore his name. Benjamin was the youngest child of Jacob, one of two children (along with Joseph) born to Jacob and Rachel (Gen. 34:16–19). Rachel died during childbirth, naming the child Benoni, “son of my sorrow.”

Ben-oʹni [son of my sorrow], the name which the dying Rachel gave to her newly-born son, but which by his father Jacob was changed into Benjamin (Gen. 35:18).
