Bela, Son of Benjamin
Bela, Son of Benjamin (בֶּ֫לַע‎, bela'). The firstborn son of Benjamin (Gen 46:21; 1 Chr 7:6; 8:1). The head of the family of the Belaites (Num 26:38); father of Addar (also called Ard) and Naaman (Num 26:40), as well as Gera, Abihud, Abishua, Ahoah, Gera, Shephuphan, and Huram (1 Chr 8:3–5).

From the name of his father, Beor, we may infer that he was a Chaldean by birth and reigned in Edom by conquest. He may have been contemporary with Moses and Balaam.
