Azaz, Son of Shema
Azaz, Son of Shema (עָזָז‎, azaz). A member of the tribe of Reuben (1 Chr 5:1–10). Mentioned as the father of Bela and son of Shema (1 Chr 5:8). The name Azaz is probably a shortened form of Azaziah, meaning “Yahweh is strong.”
