Arnold of Brescia
Arnold of Brescia (d. 1155), reformer. Almost certainly a native of Brescia, Arnold studied in France before returning to Italy and becoming a *canon regular. His preaching against the worldliness of the Church led him to take a leading part in the conflict between the bishop and reformers in Brescia.
