Ard (son of Benjamin)
Excerpt from the Lexham Bible Dictionary, the most advanced Bible dictionary.
The eponymous ancestor of the Ardites. Ard is listed as a son of Benjamin according to Gen 46:21, but a descendant of Bela according to Num 26:40. The use of “son” in the Genesis genealogy probably indicates that Ard is a descendant of Benjamin, rather than a literal son.
