Amal (Person)
AMAL (PERSON) [Heb ʿāmāl (עָמָל)]. A descendant of Asher, whose name appears in an abbreviated genealogy in 1 Chr 7:30–40, which lists the “men of Asher” who were “heads of fathers’ houses, approved, mighty warriors, chief of the princes.” One third of the names given in Asher’s genealogy are found
