Alvan, Son of Shobal
Alvan, Son of Shobal (עַלְוָן‎, alwan). Also called “Aliah.” Listed among the Edomites, who were descendants of Esau. Alvan be the same person referred to as “Alvah,” an Edomite chief (Gen 36:23, 40; 1 Chr 1:51).
