Ahio (son of Jeiel)
Excerpt from the Lexham Bible Dictionary, the most advanced Bible dictionary.
A member of the tribe of Benjamin listed in the genealogy of Saul found in both 1 Chr 8:1–40 and 9:35–44. Ahio appears in 1 Chr 8:31 and 9:37. His relationship to Saul is unclear. If the Kish listed in 1 Chr 8:30 and 1 Chr 8:33 is the same man, then Ahio would have been an uncle of Saul. However, the genealogy of 1 Chr 9:35–44 lists Ahio with several brothers, including Kish and Ner (1 Chr 9:36–37). In that passage, Ner is identified as the father of Kish, the father of Saul (9:39), making Ahio a great-uncle of Saul. However, Ner is not listed as a son of Jeiel alongside Ahio and Kish in 1 Chr 8:30–32; he appears first in 1 Chr 8:33 as father of Kish, the father of Saul. According to 1 Samuel 14:50–51, Ner was Saul’s uncle, a son of Abiel and brother of Kish. For more information on Saul’s parentage, see this article: Kish, Son of Abiel.

Ahio (Person)
AHIO (PERSON) [Heb ʾaḥyô (אַחְיֹו)]. According to the Hebrew text, 3 different people were named Ahio. However, since the consonantal spelling of Ahio (ʾḥyw) is identical with the word “his brother” or “his brothers,” it is uncertain if all these Ahios should be read with the MT as personal nouns.
