Adadah (עַדְעָדָה‎, ad'adah). Listed among the towns belonging to the tribe of Judah (Josh 15:22); located in the Negev, the arid southern region of Judah. Older copies of the Septuagint have “Arouel,” which has led to an association with Aroer (1 Sam 30:28).
