Zaphenath-Paneah (צָפְנַת פַּעְנֵחַ, tsophnath pa'neach). The name Pharaoh gives to Joseph when he promotes Joseph to the position of vizier of Egypt (Gen 41:45). The derivation and meaning of this name is unknown, as rendering it back into Egyptian is difficult. As such, multiple options for its meaning have been proposed, but none are conclusive.
