Cylinder Seals

Cylinder seals from the Protoliterate Period depict agrarian, religious, and war scenes. In Mesopotamia, the compositions on the seals appear to have influenced the design of mural paintings and other large-scale art pieces; in contrast, in Greece, the large-scale art often influences the composition of the seals.
